Scores
Scores are available only in Connected mode.
They provide a quantified view of cloud exit readiness based on risks, dependencies, and the alternative technology landscape.
Use scores to:
- communicate readiness clearly
- compare environments over time
- support prioritization and executive decision-making
Scoring #1 - Exit Readiness Grade
The Exit Readiness Grade is derived from EscapeCloud’s composite Exit Readiness Score (0-100).
The Exit Readiness Score is a combined score reflecting:
- identified risks and constraints
- availability (and, where applicable, maturity) of alternatives
Higher scores generally indicate:
- fewer blockers
- more viable alternatives
- lower portability and lock-in risk
| Grade | Score | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| A | 84-100 | Seamless - minimal exit barriers |
| B | 68-83 | Smooth - manageable with planning |
| C | 51-67 | Manageable - moderate effort and risk |
| D | 34-50 | Challenging - significant dependencies |
| E | 18-33 | Difficult - high effort and elevated lock-in risk |
| F | 0-17 | Complex - severe lock-in / few alternatives |
The detailed weighting, normalization, and internal calculation parameters are proprietary and are not disclosed.
Scoring #2 - Vendor Lock-in Score
The Vendor Lock-in Score evaluates the alternative landscape across three dimensions:
- Human — skills availability on the market (or hiring/training effort)
- Technology — maturity, stability, feature completeness
- Operational — ecosystem, supportability, third-party services (integrators)
This is often visualized as a radar chart.
